ISLAMABAD: The government is introducing policies to bring Pakistan’s automotive industry up to global standards, said the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production, Haroon Akhtar Khan.
Khan, held a meeting with the CEO of Master Motors to discuss tariff policies, production of automotive parts, and vehicle exports.
Expressing satisfaction over the impressive capacity of local manufacturers like Master Motors, Haroon Akhtar Khan emphasised the importance of encouraging domestic manufacturers to foster the growth of Pakistan’s automotive industry.
“Prime minister envisions making Pakistan’s automotive sector competitive both regionally and globally,” said Haroon Akhtar Khan.
He further stressed the need to ensure passenger safety and comfort in the manufacturing of buses.
Highlighting ongoing efforts, Haroon Akhtar Khan stated, “We are introducing policies to bring Pakistan’s automotive industry up to global standards.”
He also praised the outstanding performance of the Yutong bus service, which he personally observed, and reiterated the government’s commitment to facilitating and supporting the automotive sector’s growth.
