ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) on Thursday notified a slight increase in the rate of imported Re-Gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) for September, following an increase in DES (Delivered Ex-Ship).
“The slight increase in RLNG prices is due to a slight increase in DES price,” Ogra states in the provisional RLNG weighted average sale price notification.
On a month-to-month basis, consumers on Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC)’s system will witness a 2.63 percent increase on the distribution side from USD 10.7285 per mmbtu to USD 11.0105 per mmbtu, whereas on the transmission side, the rate has increased from USD 9.6097 to USD 9.8619 per mmbtu.
For the consumers of Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL), the price of RLNG has slightly risen from USD 11.7330 per mmbtu to USD 12.0127 per mmbtu at the distribution stage, and on the transmission side, the price has risen to USD 11.2365 per mmbtu from USD 10.9770 per mmbtu.
The price is based on eight LNG cargoes imported by Pakistan State Oil (PSO) under long-term contracts with Qatar.
