German companies are accelerating efforts to partner with Chinese rivals, conceding in fresh survey results that the local competitors appear poised to seize the lead in global innovation.

3. China leans on German carmakers to help break Brussels tariff deadlock

Beijing pressed German carmakers to help resolve disputes over the European Union’s anti-subsidy tariffs on Chinese EVs and the Nexperia semiconductor saga, in separate video meetings on Monday.
