Full-service law firm KRCL now covers all Texas’ major markets with Austin expansion
AUSTIN, Texas, March 04, 2025–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Kane Russell Coleman Logan PC (KRCL), a full-service law firm with offices in Dallas and Houston, today announced its expansion to Austin.
The establishment of a new office in Frost Bank Tower on 401 Congress Avenue is being led by founding director Joseph M. Coleman and Raymond J. Kane, founding director and Chair of the Board of Directors. Servicing the broader Central Texas region, including San Antonio, KRCL’s Austin office will initially open with six partner and associate attorneys and three business professionals, most of whom practice in the bankruptcy, litigation and workout areas, with additional partner hires imminent.
The new attorneys joining KRCL include:
“Expanding to Austin is an important part of our strategic plan,” said Coleman. “This move strengthens our ability to serve clients across every major market in Texas, solidifying our presence as a true Texas-based firm. We are thrilled with the quality of lawyers attracted to KRCL. As our clients grow and expand statewide, our Austin office ensures they will have comprehensive legal support in the dynamic Central Texas region.”
While the initial legal focus of the firm’s practice in Austin will be bankruptcy and litigation, KRCL will expand its expertise in Austin over time to provide a full suite of services, similar to its other Texas offices in Dallas and Houston. Additionally, the firm anticipates hiring more attorneys in the coming months to support and expand this growth.
KRCL will focus on serving key industries in Austin and the greater Central Texas markets, including technology, healthcare, real estate and manufacturing, among others. The firm also intends to continue to attract and support businesses relocating to Texas from across the country and around the world.
“This expansion into Austin marks one of the most significant strategic achievements originally set as a long-term goal by our founders, and now executed by our next generation of leaders,” said Kane. “Bringing this vision to life has been a long-standing priority, and I’m thrilled to see it come to fruition at the perfect time—when our firm is poised to capitalize on the many business opportunities in the Austin and Central Texas markets.”
As part of its legacy planning and leadership transition, 10 years in the making, KRCL now looks to its second-generation leaders to guide the future of the firm. Upon expiration of the current Board Chair’s term this year, KRCL’s transition to a fully non-founder led firm will be complete. In addition to elevating younger attorneys into leadership roles at the 33-year-old firm, KRCL has significantly strengthened its executive team with the hiring of Erik Cordova as CFO and Jonathan Carley as CHRO in 2024, and the addition of Chad Collins as COO in 2023. These strategic hires fulfill KRCL’s “professionally managed” form of governance, giving the firm an even greater competitive edge in the Texas legal market.
