This initiative aims to boost capacity for travelers from Europe and the United States to Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Air Connectivity Program (ACP), in partnership with the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) and Jeddah Airports Company (JEDCO), announced the initiation of direct flights from Stuttgart, Germany, to Jeddah.

The flights are set to begin in the second half of 2025, operating twice weekly with an A321neo aircraft that has a seating capacity of 224 passengers. This initiative is designed to enhance capacity for travelers and tourists from Europe and the United States to Saudi Arabia.

ACP Chief Executive Officer Majid Khan noted that collaboration with Eurowings is making notable strides in fortifying air connections between Saudi Arabia and Europe. He further shared his optimism about forming a long-term alliance with Eurowings to broaden the network of air routes in the upcoming years, offering new travel experiences for guests and allowing them to delve into Saudi Arabia’s rich historical and cultural landscapes.

Driving tourism growth through enhanced air links

The ACP is committed to boosting tourism growth in Saudi Arabia by improving air connectivity between the Kingdom and various global destinations. The program is dedicated to developing both existing and prospective air routes while linking Saudi Arabia to new international markets. As the executive enabler of both the National Tourism Strategy and the Saudi aviation strategy, ACP promotes collaboration and partnerships among key public and private sector stakeholders in the tourism and aviation sectors. Additionally, its mission is to enhance the Kingdom’s status as a premier global destination for air travel connectivity.
