Oman’s airports welcome over 1.33 million passengers by Jan 2025

Indian nationals topped passenger numbers at Muscat International Airport with 90,081 arrivals

The total number of passengers traveling through the airports of the Sultanate of Oman by the conclusion of January 2025 reached 1,331,619. The total number of flights arriving and departing from Oman’s airports by the end of January 2025 amounted to 8,983 flights, as per preliminary statistics released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The number of passengers passing through Muscat International Airport by the end of January 2025 reached 1,200,339, reflecting a decrease of 7 percent. This figure includes 1,109,650 international passengers and 90,689 domestic passengers. The total number of flights at Muscat International Airport by the end of January 2025 reached 8,099 flights, of which 7,410 were international flights and 689 were domestic flights.

Moreover, Indian nationals led the passenger count at Muscat International Airport by the end of January 2025, with 90,081 arrivals and 86,762 departures. They were followed by Omani nationals, who recorded 62,255 incoming passengers and 74,104 departures, and Pakistani nationals, who had 30,355 arrivals and 25,377 departures.

Additionally, the number of passengers passing through Salalah Airport reached 126,506, marking an increase of 5 percent. These passengers traveled on 822 flights, which represents a rise of 1.6 percent. The number of international flights at Salalah Airport reached 404, carrying 59,429 passengers, while domestic flights totaled 418, accommodating 67,077 passengers.

Furthermore, the number of domestic passengers through Duqm Airport reached 4,774 passengers, spread across 52 flights.
