Three Australians who allegedly shot and killed a fellow countryman on the tourist island of Bali earlier this year have been charged with premeditated murder – an offence that carries the maximum death penalty in Indonesia.
Dubbed the “Bali Three”, the men are accused of planning and carrying out the fatal shooting of Melbourne man Zivan Radmanovic as his wife, Jazmyn Gourdeas, hid under the covers in a villa in the Badung region just after midnight on June 14.

Radmanovic’s brother-in-law, 34-year-old Sanar Ghanim, also from Melbourne, was beaten and shot in the leg during the attack but survived, according to The Age newspaper.

Badung police said they had completed their months-long investigation into Darcy Francesco Jenson, 27, Mevlut Coskun, 22, and Tupou Pasa I Midolmore, 26, and handed over the case file to the prosecutor’s office on Wednesday.

“We have officially handed over the suspects and evidence to prosecutors today,” Badung Police Chief Arif Batubara told The Jakarta Post on Wednesday.

The men were charged with premeditated murder and illegal possession of firearms, Badung Prosecutor’s Office Head Sutrisno Margi Utama told the newspaper. “The suspects will remain in detention at Kerobokan Prison while awaiting trial.”
