Musical concerts will resonate in Riyadh, Shaqra, Abha, Qassim, Jeddah and Eastern Region cities

The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) announced today Eid Events 2025, a nationwide celebration of Eid al-Fitr featuring concerts, theatrical performances, dazzling fireworks and a variety of activities across Saudi Arabia’s entertainment zones, offering unforgettable experiences for residents and visitors.

Eid Al Fitr is a special occasion for Muslims around the world and is a time for celebration with family and loved ones. It marks the end of the month of Ramadan, a period of month-long fasting for Muslims around the world, and the start of Shawwal, the tenth month in the Islamic calendar. Eid Al Fitr is expected to take place on Sunday, March 30, 2025, or Monday, March 31, 2025, depending on the sighting of the moon.

This year, Saudi Arabia announced a four-day holiday for the private and non-profit sectors for Eid al-Fitr. According to Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the holiday will be from March 30 to April 2, with work resuming on April 3. In addition to the weekend on Friday and Saturday, private sector employees in the Kingdom will receive a 6-day holiday.

This makes the extended break the perfect time to explore Saudi Arabia’s Eid offerings.

Musical concerts will resonate in Riyadh, Shaqra, Abha, Qassim, Jeddah and Eastern Region cities. Meanwhile, theatrical productions will take center stage in Riyadh from April 1 to 19, in Jeddah from April 1 to 6, and in Dammam from April 1 to 3.

Fireworks will illuminate the night sky at 9 PM in key locations, including:

Boulevard World in Riyadh. Jeddah Art Promenade. Al-Khobar Corniche. Arruddaf Park in Taif.

Eid celebrations will kick off on day one at Riyadh’s Boulevard City, Boulevard World, VIA Riyadh and Jeddah Art Promenade, with City Hub in Al-Khobar hosting festivities on day two, providing diverse and family-friendly entertainment. These events underscore GEA’s dedication to celebrating Eid al-Fitr 2025 and advancing Saudi Arabia’s entertainment sector.

Ramadan Season 2025

In addition to hosting Eid al-Fitr 2025 events and fireworks, Saudi Arabia organized a Ramadan Season this year. The initiative showcased an array of cultural and community events that emphasized the rich heritage of Ramadan and the longstanding traditions of Saudi Arabia.

Under the slogan “Our Nights Have Returned,” the Saudi Ministry of Culture adorned roads and public areas with vibrant lights and artistic installations. Notable locations in Riyadh and Jeddah, such as Al Ghadeer Walkway, Olaya Street, and the Jeddah Corniche, were beautifully illuminated for all to enjoy.

The Jeddah Historic District, a centerpiece of Ramadan celebrations, welcomed over 1 million visitors in the first week of Ramadan Season 2025, marking an unprecedented turnout to one of the most prominent Ramadan events in the Kingdom.

The Jeddah Historic District hosted key events, including a historical houses area with restaurants and cafes offering unique Iftar and Suhoor experiences. “Balad Stalls” provided a food destination with stalls, trucks and seating. Visitors also enjoyed a unique blend of culture, arts, traditional markets and heritage cuisine at Ramadan Season 2025. Exploration tours across the district revealed ancient architectural heritage, while markets showcased local products and traditional foods.
