Accounting and business advisory firm Bober Markey Fedorovich (BMF) has elevated Kristian Barr and Michael Bigler from senior managers to directors in the Assurance and Advisory Department of its Northeast Ohio team.

Barr, who has been with BMF for several years, specialises in the nonprofit industry as well as client accounting and advisory services (CAAS).

Barr is known for his deep knowledge of nonprofit financial reporting, grant compliance, and audit processes. His expertise also extends to the for-profit sector, where he offers financial forecasting, internal control assessments, and acquisition due diligence.

In his role within the CAAS group, Barr will work closely with businesses to streamline accounting functions and optimise financial processes.

Bigler has built his career at BMF with a focus on employee benefit plans, particularly in managing retirement and health plan audits.

His expertise encompasses ERISA compliance, risk assessment, and governance best practices.

His leadership extends beyond employee benefit plans, having worked across various industries, including manufacturing, distribution, investment funds, and professional services.

Bigler’s role has included coordinating engagements, supervising teams, and providing strategic financial recommendations.

BMF partner and practice leader Eric German said: “Both Kristian and Mike have demonstrated exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and a deep commitment to their clients and colleagues.

“Their promotions to director are a testament to their hard work, dedication and the trust they’ve built within our firm and with our clients. We are excited to see them continue to excel in their new roles and contribute to the ongoing success of BMF.”

“BMF promotes two members to director roles” was originally created and published by International Accounting Bulletin, a GlobalData owned brand.
