In a significant move aimed at bolstering economic development in Balochistan, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti approved the establishment of the Bank of Balochistan during a high-level meeting in Quetta, Aaj News reported.
An initial feasibility report submitted at the meeting deemed the project viable, prompting Bugti to direct authorities to finalise the operational plan within one week.
The new provincial bank is expected to offer quality banking services to the general public, traders, and investors across the province.

Emphasising the importance of the initiative, the Chief Minister described it as a “historic milestone for the province’s economy.”
He expressed optimism that the bank would help accelerate development projects, invigorate economic activity, and create job opportunities for the youth.
The gathering included top-level officials, such as Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, and other senior advisers. Banking experts also joined online to contribute to the discussions and support rapid project implementation
