Professional services network Forvis Mazars has appointed Lisa Pennington as an accounting and outsourcing partner in its UK Healthcare and Life Sciences team.

With two decades of experience in the healthcare finance sector, Pennington will be based in the company’s Manchester office.

She joined Forvis Mazars in 2023 and has supported and developed year-end compliance and advisory services for medical clients. These range from federations and primary care networks to general practitioners (GP) and GP practices.

Her work has also involved delivering coordinated accounting, taxation, and advisory services to healthcare professionals and advising clients on business strategies, such as setup structure, annual compliance, and exit planning.

In her new role, she will continue to lead the UK Healthcare team and help expand Forvis Mazars’s services to meet the changing needs of its clients.

Forvis Mazars UK Healthcare partner and head Laura Clarkson said: “We are thrilled to announce Lisa’s appointment as partner, a well-deserved recognition of her exceptional contribution to both our team and clients.

“Lisa’s expertise and in-depth understanding of the healthcare sector are invaluable as we continue to strengthen the services we offer for new and existing clients and we have no doubt that with Lisa’s guidance, the team will continue to go from strength to strength.”

Forvis Mazars operates under a single brand, comprising two members: Forvis Mazars in the US; and Forvis Mazars Group, an internationally integrated partnership present in more than 100 countries and territories.

Pennington’s appointment is the latest of several assignments made by Forvis Mazars this year. Last month, the company made another leadership appointment with Rudi Lang becoming the financial services industry leader for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. He will be based in Singapore.

In January 2025, Forvis Mazars Group appointed Jennifer Allison as the new office managing partner in Edinburgh, succeeding Laura Clarkson.

“Forvis Mazars appoints new accounting and outsourcing partner in UK” was originally created and published by International Accounting Bulletin, a GlobalData owned brand.
