OGRA reduces imported LNG prices for May – Markets

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Tuesday notified a decrease in prices of imported RLNG by 13.64 percent for both gas companies – Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) due to decline in DES prices for May, 2025.

The price of RLNG for both transmission and distribution of SNGPL has been declined by 12.42 percent and 12.51 percent as compared with previous month of April.

The transmission tariff has been reduced by $1.5637 per mmbtu from $12.5895 per mmbtu to $11.0257 per mmbtu on month-to-month basis, whereas, at distribution stage, the rate has reduced by $1.6864 per mmbtu from $13.4789 per mmbtu to $11.7925 per mmbtu. These rates are applicable for the franchise areas of SNGPL.

The price of RLNG for both transmission and distribution of SSGC has been declined by 13.62 percent and 13.64 percent as compared with previous month of April.

The transmission tariff has been declined by $1.5351 per mmbtu from $12.5910 per mmbtu to $10.8742 per mmbtu on month-to-month basis, whereas, at distribution stage, the rate has reduced by $1.7168 per mmbtu from $12.5910 per mmbtu to $10.8742 per mmbtu. These rates are applicable for the franchise areas of SSGC.
